The Senior Analyst will be a supporting member of the investment manager research team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure to and an understanding of the consulting and investment management industry.
This position will support Segal Marco Advisors research efforts with a primary focus on private markets. The main responsibilities include interviewing investment managers and writing meeting notes as well as evaluating strategies through our proprietary Manager Research & Ranking (MR2) due diligence framework and preparing research reports. Additional responsibilities will include collaborating with the research and consulting teams on client projects, attending client meetings, portfolio and performance analysis, writing monthly and quarterly market commentary, and topical research papers.
The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in finance, economics or related field of study, and has an interest in pursuing advanced professional credentials or educational opportunities such as the CFA designation or master’s degree. The candidate will also likely have between 2 and 5 years of experience and must have a strong attention to detail, particularly as it relates to well-written and effective communications. Prior manager research or related experience is a plus.
